Well, old Sally finally bit the dust. She was a good little car and only slightly dependable.

I was driving to Muncie from Noblesville when I felt my car shaking violently. I thought I had a flat tire, but then I realized by car had completely shut off as I was going 75 mph. All of the lights that shouldn't have went on, including the battery, engine, oil, gas, and probably 9 more. That was fun. Luckily I had started pulling over and nothing toooo bad happened (minus my car dying).

Then my car wouldn't turn back on. I had to get it towed and called my roommate to come get me.

I had it looked at, aaaaand well, the engine blew up because there was absolutely no oil in it, which is insane because I just put 2 quarts of oil in it on Saturday when I got gas. Basically the only way to fix it is to put a new engine in it. What a waste.

So yeah. Now I get to get a new car, which is the silver lining (minus having a car payment :( that I can't afford).

Any suggestions ? I need something with good gas mileage since I'm commuting so much.

Or if you want to give me a new car for free I definitely won't turn it down.

Get a little Japanese car. They get good gas mileage and they'll run until they've got 150k miles on the engine.

I destroyed my Dodge Daytona the same way when I was in college. The oil pan got a small crack in it driving on the back roads of Peru and the engine blew up once all the oil drained out. I loved that little car too...I was sad when they quit making Daytonas.

Anything Asian will do ya. I had an old Mazda that was a POS but I drove it for 2 years and it took me everywhere with no major issues.

Employment Listing Services

Have you inspected an employment listing website that left you totally unfulfilled? I found immediately that there are employment websites that are totally lacking. A leading flaw that I have seen on multiple sites is that they include so many outdated posts that it makes it trying to direct your search. I don’t want to [...]

How to Get Free Coke Reward Points

This is probably the easiest way to get free Coke Reward Points that you’re likely to find on the web.  All you have to do is sign up at the free auction site Listia.  When you sign up, they give you 100 points to spend on whatever you want.  You don’t have to spend a [...]

Listia: What if Craigslist and Ebay had a baby together?

If Craigslist and Ebay had a bastard child, it would probably look something like Listia.com.  The site allows you to auction off your old junk for “free” and then use the points others bid on your items to buy their “junk” in return.  As one man’s junk is another man’s treasure, it’s easy to come [...]
