Thanks Jermaine. We have total different styles. I admire what you are doing very much. Every painting seems to be a struggle. Right now I'm painting a portrait of a 8 yr old girl and it is very difficult to keep her looking as young as i want her to. But I haven't painted in 2 month's as I'm working on a victorian house I bought when I moved here from Calif. 3 years ago and that keeps me really busy. I hope this will get me started again. Keep up the very creative work and I shall be watching for your latest efforts.Lori

Jermaine, No I did not go to the 500. My family and I walked around the track the night before real early in the evening. I should have brought my camera, but then again nothing interesting was going on.

Jermaine, I painted Soon to Harvest one day that I had nothing else to do. I liked the soy bean field, and the way the sky looked at the time I took the photo. It isn't one of my best just okay. Glad you liked it, thanks.

I'm really impressed with the variety of your art and photography. I'm particularly drawn to the portrait sketches. You caught the emotion and character of your subjects very well. Very well done!!!!

Jermaine, I buy my canvas already gesso, but I use gesso in place of white paint. It is more opaque than acrylic white paint, but I was watching Jerry Yarnell. He said when you apply the gesso you should be able to run your finger across your canvas and get a good amount on your finger. If you don't then there is not enough to really cover your canvas.

Jermaine, The Hamilton County Artist's Association is located at the corner of Cherry St. and 5th St. in Noblesville. Two blocks south of the courthouse and three blocks west of 8th Street in an old white wooden Church Bldg. We are open Thurs., Fri., and Sat. from 10 to 5. Phone 317-776-2ART. Jermaine, On the 1st painting, Sitting on Santa's Lap is my daughter I don't want her screaming if I see it, it is like I can hear her and that just drives me nuts. On that 2nd one that is tepees with sun rays coming through. the 3rd one or the rest thank you for your complement.
