We're gonna do it again! Now that the weather is warming up it's time to bring out the drums, the fire, the dance, the community and the soul.
Rumble in the Park is this years drum circle at Broad Ripple Park every Thursday from April 16th until ...
My name is Ryan. I am originally from Dallas, Tx and have called Indianapolis home for five years now. I facilitate community drum circles, write my own style of raw percussion and world rhythms along with freestyle drumming. Feel free to chat with me at anytime!!!
Percussionist for 25 years, coming up with new hard hitting, in your face world/new age rhythms. My style is a mix of middle eastern, west african and afro-caribbean along with my own freestyle, contemporary, upbeat and modern driving sounds.
I am constantly in the process of creating music to get people up! I've intertwined percussion from various traditions around the world with freestyle, hard hitting, powerful and driving licks to bring out the movement in all of us!!
I have drummed for a variety of styles of dancers around the midwest, from middle eastern belly dance to tribal fusion, modern dance to fire poi.
I also drum for and with the elderly who have been stricken with stages 1-3 Alzheimer's as well as low functioning seniors.
My drumming also takes me to the cultural arts side of rhythm. I accompany for the Jordan Dance Academy at Butler University and Dance Kaleidoscope. Both here in Indianapolis and both are very well known. I have been blessed to work with them.
I also do workshops, drum circles, lectures, concerts and educational programs around the Midwest.
I hope the rhythms I've created make you feel alive!
The drum is my heart and soul and I love sharing it with you!!
Hi Ryan! Thanks for sending me a list of your class dates. Hi Ryan! Thanks for joining Hamilton County Today! I just checked out your site and absolutely love what you do. Drum circles remind us of how we're all connected and can create harmony when we are in tune first with ourselves and then with those around us. I am a writer for Noblesville Daily Times and am interested in meeting with you to write a story about your work, and your own personal story. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in! Thanks Ryan -- I look forward to hearing from you.
