Downtown Noblesville

Walked around downtown Noblesville on Thursday afternoon with my point-and-shoot camera and snapped a few photos of the area and buildings. Indiana has some great old buildings in the downtown areas of hundreds of its cities, but Noblesville is one of the nicer Hoosier downtown areas in my… Continue

Sculpture by the road in Lebanon on 32

As my wife and I were driving to Westfield from Lebanon on Saturday, we passed this sculpture garden and had to pull over to snap a few pictures. I don't know the story behind this or who created these sculptures, but I'd be interested in hearing about it from anyone in the know.… Continue

Finches in my backyard

I took a seat on the back deck after dinner last night hoping to get a decent hummingbird photo, but the finches were more cooperative. I did get a few hummingbird photos as well, they just didn't come out as good. Here's a slideshow of some of the pics I took:

Statewide rally against puppy mills

Indiana currently has no state laws regulating the conditions of puppy mills. As a result, our state has one of the highest numbers of puppy mills in the country. Thousands of puppy mill dogs are forced to live their entire lives in tiny, wire cages with no exercise. They are malnouris… Continue

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for the kind words about "Farewell". I really did enjoy working with you. I truly appreciate all you did to make our Web sites better places. I do appreciate your patience and humor with my constant Joomla fits.

Do stay in touch.

Yeah - kid brother here. He's the only brother I've got, and there are so few of us, I have to admit it.

Ryan,
I am writing from Houston, Texas. My family here happened to find a birth annoucement in this paper that is one of our family members. We've been trying to get a hold my uncle but can't get in touch. Could you help? You seem to be the most posted paper personal. I started an account. It's Danielle "Purvis" Vann. If you could email me or post I would love to know what the best way to getting a hold of him through what was listed in the paper!

Thanks so much!

Ryan, No this animal was a very large cat. It looked just like a cougar, just like the picture you sent me. It did not look like a bobcat. It had a long tail and ran across the road where the 1st house is just north of 126th Street. I know they are not native to our area, but I do know people have raised them. I was thinking it could have belonged to someone and it got loose. It did not look like an adult, but a juvenile. In Sheridan Indiana about 4 yrs ago a horse got malled, and in Greencastle about 2 1/2 yrs ago a horse got malled. I know they can get loose and hide out for yrs without being notice. Isn't possible for this to happen? For a wild animal being raised in captivity to get loose.

Add Value to Your Home with Designer Furniture

Peer into your bedroom and tell me if that furniture is the reflection of the hard working, 21st century girl that you are? Chances are that the answer, if we are being completely honest with ourselves, is no. That old furniture set that your Aunt Dorothy gave you fresh out of college simply isn’t going [...]

Try Out New York Real Estate Auctions

With common websites like EBay, internet purchases have become exceedingly popular. It is a handy way to do your shopping because you do not have to depart the solace of your home or devote too much time to visiting different stores. Travel time is nonexistent because a new site is only a few clicks away. [...]

Listia: What if Craigslist and Ebay had a baby together?

If Craigslist and Ebay had a bastard child, it would probably look something like Listia.com.  The site allows you to auction off your old junk for “free” and then use the points others bid on your items to buy their “junk” in return.  As one man’s junk is another man’s treasure, it’s easy to come [...]

The Ebay Feedback System is Broken

I buy a lot more than I sell on Ebay, mostly because I find selling anything on the site more hassle than it’s worth most of the time.  The problem isn’t with using the site, which is a breeze.  The problem is dealing with other Ebay users and their often irrational demands.  This is compounded [...]
